It's the beginning of December which means only one thing here at Netmatters - announcing the winner of "Notable of Notable Employees" for November 2019. This award is given to a single employee who has exceeded expectations in their day to day role or has been influential in the company's success during the previous month.
Every department manager is asked to nominate an employee from their department, who they feel has done exceptionally well during the course of the previous month. Each one of these employees is then considered as a candidate for this award.
The Notable of Notables is presented to a member of staff who has been been doing an excellent job all round working hard throughout. This month's Notable of Notables is awarded to Michael Grimshaw!
The Most Notable of Notable Employees
Michael Grimshaw!
Michael has really gone above and beyond over the last month when it comes to projects he has been working on, With the emergency project for a client he did a fantastic job as the technical lead ensuring we approached the work in a controlled and methodical way whilst ensuring multiple people working on the site had clear guidance. - Tom Lancaster
Michael certainly had his fair share of challenges this month with the client, but has kept a cool head throughout and put in extra time where needed. No doubt that he’s gained a lot of valuable experience in the process too - Josh Ralph
Michael Grimshaw - 'Everything cannot run smoothly all the time so it is imperative that situations are managed with a cool head to ensure remedial actions taken in haste don’t make things worse. Michael acted in a very level headed objective manner and went above and beyond to support the team and the client through a challenging time. Well done Mike the Knight, he truly is a Brave Young Hero! ' – James Gulliver
Well done Michael for all of your hard work throughout November!
This Month’s Other Notable Employee Nominations:
Charlotte Gubbin- Doing a great job managing the financial KPIs and implementing debt chasing with finesse. Charlotte is following processes well to ensure precision and quality. Well done Charlotte! – James Gulliver
Bethany Shakespeare – Bethany is doing a grand job with managing the company’s staff engagement through event’s and activities that she is organising. The Christmas event also has an excellent turnout this year! Bethany’s role is challenging, especially when we are recruiting for several roles at the same time (As we have been over the past few months). This has all been happening as well as everything else that has been asked of her (Admin help with the new buildings etc). Bethany has also worked on improving and streamlining the recruitment and on-boarding process for new team members. This now feels gripped and we have letters and contracts being produced in a clean and efficient manner. – Chris Gulliver
Robert George - The Rock, he continues to manage the IT department with gumption. This is a fast paced role with lots of things happening and to consider. To name a few: logistics, staffing, resourcing loading, service levels, client interactions and team engagement with the odd emergency task thrown in, all of which Rob takes in his stride.– Chris Gulliver
Richard Dent– Has stepped up to assist with the Network cabling of the unit 13 build (Ready for the IT team to occupy). Richard specified the required network solution and between him and Leon, they have worked into the evenings to get the job done. Richard is aware of what we are trying to achieve and so is feeding back on things he is spotting as the building fit out is developing – Very useful feedback and much appreciated. Thanks also to Leon for going the extra mile and assisting Richard with the cabling work, all of which has been completed out of hours and so has no impact on the operation of the department.– Chris Gulliver
Kati Leeson – I have been notably impressed with how Kati is improving the IT project management process and assisting Matt Harrop. IT projects come with some challenges as is the case with everything IT. She is working well with the Service Manager to ensure projects are being delivered to the high standards required of us by our clients. – Chris Gulliver
Charlotte Gubbin - Charlotte is very diligent, which is perfect for the finance department. She has taken on more responsibility and is keeping the workload within the accounts admin team when appropriate and only escalating to department director when required. Great work with managing the department KPI’s also. Go Girl. - Chris Gulliver
Lewie Carton -This nomination was largely swayed by the braces he showcased earlier in the month. Alongside this, Lewie has continued to go from strength to strength, actively working towards enhancing his learning and making sure this knowledge is shared amongst the others in the team. He is valued member of the team and helps support further growth of the department skillset. - Lydia Whitney
Bethany Shakespeare - With key departmental changes and some considerable growth and changes in staff over the last few months, Beth has done a great job in managing this, often going well above and beyond in her role to ensure things happen in tight deadlines and always to really high standards. A positive problem solver! – Elliott Peacock
Sean Bosley - Sean has developed a lot over the past 12 months showing he is able to follow process and being diligent. He is always looking for additional more complex work to advance his skills and develop. He is always happy to help when needed and is proving himself to be a good all-round technician. – Robert George
Chris Waldie and Matthew Chapman - For volunteering their weekend to travel up to Wigan to complete a PC refresh for a client. Their efforts on this are hugely appreciated by both Netmatters and the customer – Robert George
Thomas Fielding - I’d like to nominate Tom Fielding for notable. He’s recently helped out, working on a tricky project for their consumer facing website. He’s demonstrated and very mindful approach, put himself in the end users mind set and has a great balance of sticking to the established brand and adding something new. It’s been a great collaboration with some back and forth and great ideas implements. Very impressed! Keep it up Tom! – Adam Greer.
Samantha Lupton - Sam has been doing a fantastic job recently managing a series of projects for Natures menu which all have their own complexities and deadlines, but has done a great job of keeping the customer happy and ensuring their expectation is well managed. – Tom Lancaster
Simon Wright - Just generally a safe pair of hands – always willing to help out, and is doing a great job with his team. – Josh Ralph
Matt Harrop - Matt has been doing a great job over the last couple of months picking up the role of IT project manager and has had some really useful feedback on ways to make us more efficient with some process changes. Keep up the good work Matt! – Tom Lancaster
We like to show our appreciation to all nominees of this month's Notables award! A huge congratulations to all of those nominated for November, keep up the brilliant standard of work! The Notable Employee Scheme is just one of a range of benefits here at Netmatters, available to all employees.
